Mesa, AZ

This is where Ron and I spent lots of time floating around on our noodles. The temperature was in the high 90's but the water was always cool, very cool. Don't know why. Made the hot tub feel really good.
Not sure you can see the willowy stems with the hot pink buds but it is another type of cactus--ocotillo.
I don't know the name of this bush but you see it everywhere around here. The colors go well with the desert landscape.
Can you tell how tall these fellows are? We have seen some that the birds have actually pecked holes large enough to make a nest inside.
Another type of cactus---notice the Christmas lights.
Sunset in Mesa, AZ. We spent our evening chatting with our neighbors from Tennessee. Tomorrow we take off for Holbrook, AZ to the petrified forest and painted desert. So folks, the Happy Travelers say, See you later, Gator!!!!
