Claremore, Oklahoma
Well friends, we made it to Claremore, Oklahoma, home of Will Rogers. Last night we visited with a couple from Virginia Beach, VA. They had just been to the Grand Canyon, painted desert, and places we are planning to visit. They gave us some good information on what to see and where to stay.
This morning we went to the J. M. Davis Arms and Historical Museum---home of the world's largest private collection of firearms, plus antique musical instruments, music boxes, steins and much, much more. Ron was a good sport and posed for today's picture. We then traveled to the Will Rogers Museum across the street from Will Rogers State University---a lovely place, beautiful grounds and great memorabilia.
Tomorrow we will be on our way to Amarillo, Texas and then on to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Our campground is on the grounds of a racetrack. This morning, I watched the horses and riders practice. This campground is working on becoming a KOA facility and has a ways to go. But it was fine for a stopover. Let's keep traveling.
